ToyArchitecture: Unsupervised Learning of Interpretable Models of the World
Research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) has focused mostly on two extremes:
either on small improvements in narrow AI domains, or on universal theoretical
frameworks which are usually uncomputable, incompatible with theories of
biological intelligence, or lack practical implementations. The goal of this
work is to combine the main advantages of the two: to follow a big picture
view, while providing a particular theory and its implementation. In contrast
with purely theoretical approaches, the resulting architecture should be usable
in realistic settings, but also form the core of a framework containing all the
basic mechanisms, into which it should be easier to integrate additional
required functionality.
In this paper, we present a novel, purposely simple, and interpretable
hierarchical architecture which combines multiple different mechanisms into one
system: unsupervised learning of a model of the world, learning the influence
of one's own actions on the world, model-based reinforcement learning,
hierarchical planning and plan execution, and symbolic/sub-symbolic integration
in general. The learned model is stored in the form of hierarchical
representations with the following properties: 1) they are increasingly more
abstract, but can retain details when needed, and 2) they are easy to
manipulate in their local and symbolic-like form, thus also allowing one to
observe the learning process at each level of abstraction. On all levels of the
system, the representation of the data can be interpreted in both a symbolic
and a sub-symbolic manner. This enables the architecture to learn efficiently
using sub-symbolic methods and to employ symbolic inference.Comment: Revision: changed the pdftitl
Uporaba teorije fizikalne podobnosti za opis filtriranja kovinske taline
The Bernoulli equation is the basis for the primary description of the flow of a real metallic melt through the pouring system for
the filling of the casting mould with an inserted ceramic filter. In principle, a modified, dimensionless form of the Bernoulli
equation can be used for the determination of the loss coefficient as a general function of the dimensionless criteria – the
Reynolds, Froude and Euler numbers. It was verified by modelling the flow of the modelling liquid (in this case water) through
ceramic filters. In the same interval of Reynolds numbers the loss coefficient was greater for foam filters than for filters with
direct holes (strainers); however, the outlet coefficient μ of the foam filters was, in identical conditions, significantly lower than
that of filters with direct holes.
luknjicami
Neural networks for audio signal classification
ObhájenoThe aim of this thesis is to cover both the necessary fundamentals of the neural networks
and how can they can be used in the real application in the field of audio signal processing.
In the first part, the fundamentals of deep learning are covered, the terms explained and
the development of selected neural network models and architectures briefly described,
pointing out some of the caveats of the not-state-of-the-arts methods as these have led to
the currently used methods. The significance of the current extensive development in the
whole field of machine learning, mainly the emergence of transfer learning, the shift of the
paradigm it means and possible social consequences are also stressed. The fundamentals
provided are then used to explain the currently developed tools and lastly exploited in a
real task. The following part describes the pre-trained model used which served as the
basis for the fine-tuning process for the selected task and evaluates the results obtained
though this process. In the conclusion a hypothesis about possible approaches varying
on the available annotated data in order to obtain best results in similar applications is
formulated upon these results

Anxiety Disorder
This paper deals with some of the most common disorders of psychology, anxiety disorders, which are selected from a sample of generalized anxiety dis-order, affecting the patient's long-term and in a systematic way, and panic dis-order which is coming suddenly and unexpectedly. The aim of this work is to look at these disorders from many different angles, especially from a personal perspective and from the perspective of psychology and biblical counseling, and describe how and why these failures occur, who may be at risk and how do anxiety disorders or attacks pass off. The chapter on setting boundaries between the problem and the standard outlines the boundary between mental health and illness so that it can be based on existing knowledge gained from the literature to determine what anxiety disorders really are and how these disorders can be understood. Since any psychotherapy has its advantages and disadvantages, and cur-rently there are more directions than it is possible to describe in this paper; it is focused on three of them, i) the Freud's psychoanalysis, ii) new-psychoanalysis derived from Freud's psychoanalysis, which theory about the origin of neuroses is described using a chart in the annex, and iii) cognitive-behavioral therapy. The work continues by a chapter of pastoral perspective on anxiety..
